Introduction<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Access requests<\/a> is a feature in SailPoint<\/a> IdentityNow<\/a> using which the users gain ability to make a manual request<\/a> for access<\/a> that they need.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Segments<\/a> feature released by SailPoint<\/a> IdentityNow<\/a> is  promoting zero trust<\/a> in the enterprises<\/a>. Using this feature, request center<\/a> items will be made available to the users only on a “Need to know” basis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For example, a user from IT<\/a> department is able to see Jira<\/a>, Bitbucke<\/a>t, Administrative \/ Privileged access across applications<\/a> like Active Directory<\/a>, ServiceNow<\/a> and various other applications in the request center. For a user from Marketing<\/a> department, the above access is not relevant and with segments<\/a>, we are abstracting those items. The relevant access for marketing users would be Salesforce CRM<\/a> and the same will be visible for the users.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
